NYC Classroom Plants Indoor Edible Wall

Steve Ritz and his NYC class from the Walton HS Campus in the Bronx shows that the edible programs they learn about in the Spring and Fall don’t have to come to an end. Mr. Ritz has been globally recognized for his success with his students and the relation to growing food as part of his educational program. This also includes a 100% passing rate on the Regents exams. The Green Living Wall and a freestanding system was taught to the students in Steve’s class by Green Living Technologies CEO George Irwin also a former teacher. This is just a small portion of the 16 week unit plan developed by Mr. Irwin just for this reason. The unit plan consists of a 90 page teachers guide a 60 page student handbook, rubrics, assessment tools and more. Look for more video from Mr. Ritz coming soon!
