Many types of containers may be used for growing plants indoors. Most pots with drainage holes are made of plastic, ceramic or clay, whereas decorative containers without the holes may be made of clay, ceramic, plastic, wood, copper, brass and other materials. Clay pots are porous and allow air movement through the sides of the pot, allowing the soil to dry and oxygen to reach the roots. Nonporous containers prevent water from evaporating through the sides, thus, plants require less frequent watering than those in clay pots.

It is very important to choose the appropriate size container for the plant. Containers too small or too large present an unbalanced appearance. An appropriate container provides room for soil and roots, and allows sufficient headroom for proper watering, and is attractive without competing with the plant.

We have a large variety of containers available. Browse the photos for ideas or let one of our design consultants choose the perfect container for your plants.
